It was a land at German-Czechoslovakian border at Sudetes Mountains, where<em> </em>Sudete Germans (Sudendeutsche) have lived. In 1938 Adolf Hitler decited to unlawfully join this Sudetenland to Germany. It was an intro of II World World War which began year later when Nazi Germany invaded Poland.
I t is very difficult to find out a nation´s feeling towards a conflict which had many consequences, specially because this is a sensitive topic. The dicussion nowadays is focused on how can be interpreted the German role during WWI. And the discussion is around two specific concepts: guilt or responsibility. The German Nation is certainly a different one from that involved in WWI and WWII. This is the reason why it is reasonable to state that Germany is a nation aware of their history and willing to use the experience learnt in those events to educate new generations of conscious people regarding conflict.
B: The Federal Government needs to respond quickly.
Congress needs to go through a long and careful process to get things done, not to mention them needing to have the majority of congress agree.
The president/executive branch of the government is made up of much less people, as well as the president himself being commander and chief of the military.
Time is very important during a national emergency, and the president can get things done quickly.
