A prologue is merely a introduction; it cannot tell the whole story.

But a intro does tell you what is generally going to happen, that line basically means that there will be some type of internal and external conflict. Which is soon to "mend" itself (Fyi, I  watched 2 Romeo and Juliet movies and read the play 3 times, if you have more questions, feel free to ask me)

Also if my first answer doesn't work try "This prologue does not disclose all the juicy details of the story

Identify and explain Joseph Conrad's formal or informal writing in this passage from The Heart of Darkness, citing specific exam
Marat540 [252]

It doesn't look informal, but it is. Here's the evidence.

  1. The "miracle" is at first sight an accountant, not one of the disciples. It is a bit inaccurate and exaggerated which formal writing would not do.
  2. He came out to get a "breath of fresh air." This is quoted directly from what the man said. A breath of fresh air is not very formal. What did he actually do? He took a break from his work.
  3. The writing records a detail that the author is apologetic for. It was an unnecessary detail, but there is a reason for including him. We don't know what it is, but formal writing would never admit to including this. Or if it did use it, there would be no apology.
  4. Formal writing is very careful about how quotations are used and for what purpose.

In sqr3 what two steps should a student take before closely reading a text
Andru [333]
First, you should do the S or SCAN/SURVEY, meaning you should glance at the thing you are about to read and get the general idea of it

Then do the Q or QUESTION, find all the headings and turn them into questions, which you will find the answer to as you read.
