B. The British army could not protect settlers from Native  Americans.

Explanation:

King George III forbid colonists from settling in the Ohio River Valley after it was gained by Britain from France because the British army could not protect settlers from Native Americans.

A lot of Native Americans were near the Appalachian Mountains, where the colonists wanted to settle. After the French and Indian War, many of the colonists felt entitled to land and wanted to branch out from their settlements. Great Britain argued that the British army could not protect the settlers if they went that way and even ended up banning being able to settle there.

This obviously made the colonists kind of angry, as they were already sick of being ordered around by Great Britain by this point. Shortly after, Great Britain started putting taxes on products which they tried to justify by saying that British troops were protecting the colonists.

Jlenok [28]

The two main compromises were the Great Compromise and the 3/5 Compromise.

The Great Compromise created a bicameral legislature. It created the House of Representatives, in which the representation of the states depended on their population, and the Senate, in which each state had an equal number of representatives.

The 3/5 Compromise stated that slaves would be counted as 3/5 of a person.

What were the leading causes of the peloponnesian war ?
oksano4ka [1.4K]
<span><span>The reasons for this war are sometimes traced back as far as the democratic reforms of Cleisthenes, which Sparta always opposed. However, the more immediate reason for the war was Athenian control of the Delian League, the vast naval alliance that allowed it to dominate the Mediterranean Sea.By 454 BC, when the League's treasury was transferred to Athens, the alliance had become an empire in all but name. Over the next two decades it began treating its fellow members as ruled subjects rather than partners, and fought several short wars to force members who wanted to leave the League to rejoin it.In 433 BC, when Athens signed a treaty of mutual protection with Corcyra (modern-day Corfu) - one of the few other city-states with a major navy of its own - Sparta and its allies interpreted the move as an act of provocation. A year later Sparta cancelled its peace treaty with Athens. Then in 431 BC a contingent of soldiers from Thebes, Sparta's ally, tried to seize control of a town called Potidea. Caught and imprisoned, the townspeople put all 200 members of the advanced party to death. When a messenger from Athens arrived the next day to persuade the town against such a rash act, it was too late. The war had begun.
