Answer:

x = 0.787 and x = -0.565

Step-by-step explanation:

Here's how I got these answers:

(3x^2)-(x)=1 can be rewritten as the quadratic 9x^2 - x - 1 = 0.  Here a = 9, b = -1 and c = -1.  The discriminant b^2-4ac is therefore 1-4(9)(-1) = 37.  There are two real, unequal roots (values of x that make the given equation true).  They are:

             -(-1) plus or minus √37

x =      -------------------------------------

                          -9

Simplifying, we get:

x =  (1 + √37)/9 and x = (1 - √37)/9

This results in x = 0.787 and x = -0.565

How to change 45% into a fraction <br> How to change 120% into a fraction
Eddi Din [679]

Answer: 3/25 and 9/20

Step-by-step explanation:

We take the number and covert it into a fraction

A 2 digit Numerator = a 3 digit denominator

A 3 digit Numerator = a 4 digit denominator

And so on...

Then We can reduce,

45/100 = 9/20

120/1000 = 3/25

Hope this helped!

What is the relative frequency of students that studied independently for more than 2 hours to the total number of students that
AlladinOne [14]

This question is incomplete.

The complete question says;

The two-way table shows the number of hours students studied and whether they studied independently or with a study group.

What is the relative frequency of students that studied independently for more than 2 hours to the total number of students that studied independently?

a) 0.4               c) 0.25

b) 0.33            d) 0.11

Table is attached as image

Answer:  C (0.25)

The number of students that studied for more than 2 hours as given in the table are 4.

The total number of people that studied independently include those that studied less than 2 hours and those that studied for more than 2 hours.

Those that studied less than 2 hours independently are 12.

Those that studied more than 2 hours independently are 4.

Hence the total number of people that studied independently is 16.

Therefore the relative frequency of students that studied independently for more than 2 hours to the total number of students that studied independently would be = 4/16 = 1/4 = 0.25.
