Use the distributive property to simplify each expression <br> 2/3(69-9)
7nadin3 [17]
The answer would be 40.
Do 69-9 which gives you 60. And then 2/3 / 60 (divide 60 by 3) and you get 20. 20*2=40

Harry, hannah and howard are all going by train to london to watch the olympics. hannah departs on the 2:15 pm train. harry's tr
ddd [48]
Hanna train departs at 2:15 pm , while harry departs at 3.00 pm  and Howard departs at 2:35 pm (20 minutes after Hannah). Howard arrives at 3.25 pm which means he takes 50 minutes. Harry trains takes 50% longer than Howard which is 1.5 × 50 = 75 minutes( 1 hr 15 minutes . Therefore harry arrives at 4.15 pm ( 3.00 + 1 hr 15 minutes).
hence, the answer is 4.15 pm

Step-by-step explanation: Is (5, 5) a solution to the equation y=x ?
enyata [817]

Answer:

Yes, (5,5) is a solution of y=x

Step-by-step explanation:

A point is given as a coordinate pair, (x,y). The first number is x and the second number is y. A solution is a pair of numbers that will make the equation true.

To check if the point is a solution, fill in the first number in place of x in the equation. Then fill in the second number for the y.

Here we have the equation:

y = x

Substituting (filling in) we get:

5 = 5 a true statement. So (5,5) IS a solution.

Alternatively, you could graph the equation and verify that the point is on the graph. see image.

\large\text{We cannot  do much of nothing because we don’t have all the information}\\\large\text{to solve.. so we can just simply do process of elimination until we fully find}\\\large\text{the ANSWER you are trying to look for.}

\large\text{Given equation: 25b - 14b}\\\large\text{COMBINE your LIKE TERMS}\\\large\text{\underline{25b - 14b} = 11b}\\\large\text{So, we are looking for an equation that gives us \bf{11b}}

\large\text{Option A.}\downarrow\\\large\text{b(25 - 14)}\\\large\text{DISTRIBUTE: b(25) + b(-14)}\\\bullet\large\text{ Reverts to: 25b - 14b (our ORIGINAL EQUATION) so this can be}\\\large\text{equal to 11b}\\\\\large\text{Option A. could POSSIBLY  be your ANSWER}

\large\text{Option B. }\downarrow\\\large\text{b(25 + 14)}\\\large\text{Distribute}\\\large\text{25(b) + 14(b)}\\\large\text{It DOES NOT revert to the original equation. It gives us: 25b + 14b}\\\large\text{If we COMBINE your LIKE TERMS in that equation. We would get: 39b}\\\large\bf{39b \neq 11b}\\\\\large\text{Option B is NOT your ANSWER}

\large\text{Options C and D CANNOT be your answers because Option C. is}\\\large\text{-11b and Option D. is -39b}

\boxed{\boxed{\large\text{To sum it all up, your ANSWER is: \bf{Option A. b(25 - 14)}}}}\huge\checkmark
