How many combinations are possible?

Mathematics

Hi there!

One way to find the solution is to list out all of the possible combinations- which, in most cases, will take a long time.

<u>Another more effective way</u> to find the possible combinations is to multiply the amount of each component together and find the product of all of the amounts of items combined.

In this case, you would multiply:

6 * 3 * 3 * 3 * 3
= 486.

So, there'd be 486 combinations.

Hope this helps!

Tanya [424]

Answer:

21 feet (20.977)

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Draw a picture, it makes it much easier. Draw a right triangle with the vertical labeled 25 and the horizontal labeled X, then label the angle adjacent to the horizontal and hypotenuse 40°

2. Use tangent because X is opposite of 40 and 25 is adjacent to angle 40. the equation would be Tan40/1 = X/25

3. You then cross multiply to get 25Tan(40) = X

4 You then plug it into a calculator and get the full answer of 20.97749078, but I always round up to either 20.98 or 21 feet, whatever your teacher allows

Amiraneli [1.4K]

Answer:

Option B and D

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Wong can use up to 10 canisters and he places exactly 3 tennis ball into each canister.

To find : Which statement is true regarding domain and range of the function.

Domain is defined as the value that can be put into the function.

Range is defined as the possible outputs from the function.

Therefore, by definition of domain and range.

In the given situation Wong can use up to 10 canisters, so the domain lie between 0-10

And he only place exactly 3 tennis balls into each canister so, the range of the function is all multiples of 3 from 0-30.

From the options B and D satisfying the given situation.
