Answer:

B. Because women and children are given priority when evacuating a sinking ship, sometimes families are split apart during the crisis.

Explanation:

In sentence A), the plural of mouse is wrong. It should be mice.

In sentence B), the sentence is correct grammatically. The plural of woman is women and families (family) is also the right plural noun.

In sentence C), the plural of library is wrong. It should be "libraries".

In sentence D), the plural of deer is deer, not deers. The singular and plural are the same.

WARRIOR [948]

Answer:

They’re USEFUL - we have populated the planet far beyond the level that can be supported by a primitive hunter-gatherer or even a pre-industrialization agriculture model. We require minerals and fossil fuels and so forth, or vast numbers of people will die.

It’s very ironic that the individuals who rail the hardest against our industrialized activities (or at least key components of them, such as the oil industry) are the ones who present themselves as caring so much about humanity. I think they just haven’t thought this through - if they could wave a wand and cause all mining and oil production and so on to simply vanish, they’d be directly murdering an enormous number of people.

Hunter commented what is going to happen with this crazy weather
Tcecarenko [31]

Answer:

Hunter asked, "What is going to happen with this crazy weather?".

Explanation:

I'm assuming you're improving the sentence. commented should be replaced with asked, since he is asking a question. Then you just have to add punctuation to the dialogue.

den301095 [7]
The correct answer is C.

In this story, the reality is that these young men are all greatly injured. It is unlikely they will ever be able to do normal activities -- like playing football -- again. The doctor's words, however, reflect the opposite of reality, and the reader is aware of it.

Therefore, it is ironic when the doctor tells the injured soldier that he "will play football again like a champion." It is clear to the reader that this young man will never play football again. The doctor's words are ironic.

List Vowel sound in rope
saul85 [17]

Answer:

The vowel sound in "rope" is a long o. Say the word aloud. The o is being pronounced how you would say it if reciting the alphabet. This means it is a long vowel. An example of a short o would be in the word "tot," since the o is pronounced "ah.".
