Explanation: Argumentum ad hominem could be called different names such as character assassination or mudslinging which refers to actions of deviation from from the main discussion to issues regarding the character of the person. Ad hominem is generally applied to fallacious argumentative strategy which is poised on attacking the emotion, attitude and behavior of the person making the argument rather than addressing the current issue or topic being addressed or discussed. It is associated with making prejudicial judgement based on the attitude, character and emotion of the individual making the argument and deviating from the original or present issue at hand.

For example, let's say that a person is suddenly screamed and duck after he heard a loud gunshot.
