There are several criticisms that you could make of suburban areas during this time period. One of the most prominent ones is that they were very uniform. In the suburbs, there was little variety in the composition of the population. Most of the inhabitants were of white, Anglo-saxon descent. This led to another problem. As the white population moved away from the cities, the minorities remained, which caused cities to become segregated.

The manufacturing ability of the U.S. turned the tide of the war. What group, in particular, allowed U.S. manufacturing to be so
andrew-mc [135]

Answer:

Women.

Explanation:

American women entered the workforce in unprecedented numbers during the war, as widespread male enlistment left gaping holes in the industrial labor force. Between 1940 and 1945, the female percentage of the U.S. workforce increased from 27 percent to nearly 37 percent, and by 1945 nearly one out of every four married women worked outside the home.

How did many Americans react to the Civil Rights Movement?
antiseptic1488 [7]

As with most things, it depends.

Some were very supportive. Others like the idea but didn't see the impact on their life. Others were opposed.

As time went on, the middle group joined the first group.
