A proton has a speed of 3.50 Ã 105 m/s when at a point where the potential is +100 V. Later, itâs at a point where the potential

is â150 V. What is the change in the protonâs electric potential? What is the change in the potential energy of the proton? What is the work done on the proton?

Answer:

(a). The change in the protons electric potential is 0.639 kV.

(b). The change in the potential energy of the proton is 1.022\times10^{-16}\ J

(c). The work done on the proton is -8\times10^{-18}\ J.

Explanation:

Given that,

Speed v= 3.50\times10^{5}\ m/s

Initial potential V=100 V

Final potential = 150 V

(a). We need to calculate the change in the protons electric potential

Potential energy of the proton is

U=qV=eV

Using conservation of energy

K_{i}+U_{i}=K_{f}+U_{f}

\dfrac{1}{2}mv_{i}^2+eV_{i}=\dfrac{1}{2}mv_{f}^2+eV_{f}

]\dfrac{1}{2}mv_{i}^2-]\dfrac{1}{2}mv_{f}^2=e(V_{f}-V_{i})

\dfrac{1}{2}mv_{i}^2-]\dfrac{1}{2}mv_{f}^2=e\Delta V

\Delta V=\dfrac{m(v_{i}^2-v_{f}^2)}{2e}

Put the value into the formula

\Delta V=\dfrac{1.67\times10^{-27}(3.50\times10^{5}-0)^2}{2\times1.6\times10^{-19}}

\Delta V=639.2=0.639\ kV

(b). We need to calculate the change in the potential energy of the proton

Using formula of potential energy

\Delta U=q\Delta V

Put the value into the formula

\Delta U=1.6\times10^{-19}\times639.2

\Delta U=1.022\times10^{-16}\ J

(c). We need to calculate the work done on the proton

Using formula of work done

\Delta U=-W

W=q(V_{2}-V_{1})

W=-1.6\times10^{-19}(150-100)

W=-8\times10^{-18}\ J

Hence, (a). The change in the protons electric potential is 0.639 kV.

(b). The change in the potential energy of the proton is 1.022\times10^{-16}\ J

(c). The work done on the proton is -8\times10^{-18}\ J.

Use the balanced equation of a nitrogen cycle pathway below to support the conservation of matter and energy.
mojhsa [17]

Explanation :

Given equation

N_{2} + 8H \rightarrow 2NH_{3} + H_{2}

This equation is balanced. because the number of reactants is equal to the number of products.

According to conservation of matter and energy,

The conservation of matter and energy states that matter can not create and can not  destroy but conserved. we can only change one form to another form of the matter and energy.

So, we can say energy conserved and the ,mass of the system always same over time.

Which of the following layers in Uranus’ atmosphere is the densest part? Stratosphere Troposphere Thermosphere Uranus does not h
VLD [36.1K]

Answer: Troposphere

Explanation:

Fairly over the "surface" of Uranus lies the troposphere, where the atmosphere is the densest. The temperature ranges from a minus 243 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 153 degrees Celsius) to minus 370 F (minus 218 C) , with the upper regions being the coldest. This makes the atmosphere of Uranus the coldest within the solar system. Inside the troposphere are layers of clouds — water clouds at the least weights, with ammonium hydro sulfide clouds over them. Alkali and hydrogen sulfide clouds come following. At long last, lean methane clouds lay on the best. The troposphere amplifies 30 miles (50 kilometers) from the surface of the planet.

Using this information, we can determine that the Troposphere is the densest layer of Uranus's atmosphere.

Cuál es la diferencia entre las ondas longitudinales y transversales?
Luden [163]

Answer:

Explanation:

<em>Waves is defined as a disturbance that travels through a </em><em>medium</em><em> and transfers energy from one point to another without causing </em><em>any permanent displacement of the medium</em><em> itself. </em>

Longitudinal waves and transverse waves are types of progressive waves and their difference depends on the direction of the vibrating medium and the wave generated by the medium.

Longitudinal waves are generated when the vibration of the medium is <em>parallel</em> to the direction of wave generated while transverse waves are waves generated when the vibration of a medium is to the direction of wave.
