World war || Started whenever Germany had launched a surprise attack against Poland. They invaded the polish territory to try to regain control over the polish corridor. This had caused Britain and France to declare war over Germany. Cause you know those people have each other's backs and all over there in Europe, besides Germany's back of course.

In what ways were the poor better off in America than in Europe?
Maru [420]

This meant that poor people and people of low education could at least get various jobs in construction and related things whereas in Europe, the opportunities for such people were much smaller.

Hatshy [7]

A: They created jobs and stimulated the economy.

The construction of the "Liberty ships" to transport troops and goods to the war required a labor force able to accomplish heavy industrial and mechanical work.

Former farmers were given wages much higher than they had ever been offered before. Consequently, the Georgians average income doubled, and many of them turned from farming to manufacturing.
