From November 4, 1979 66 Americans were held hostages in the embassy of the United States of America in Iran, there were 52 diplomatic workers and 14 citizens this was after Iranian students that supported the Iranian revolution took over control of the embassy of the United States of America, this came to an end on January 20, 1981.
