Answer:

Balance closing inventory =  $107000

so correct option is a. $107,000

Explanation:

given data

inventory cost = $145,000

purchased inventory cost =  $53,000

sales totaled = $140,000

gross profit = 35%

to find out

estimated ending inventory

solution

we know Opening inventory cost i.e $145000   and purchases  inventory cost i.e $53000

so both will be = $145000  +$53000  =  $198000

and

Cost of goods sold will be

Cost of goods sold = 35% of sales totaled

Cost of goods sold = 35% ×  $140,000

Cost of goods sold = $91000

so

Balance closing inventory = Opening inventory cost +  purchases  inventory cost - Cost of goods sold

Balance closing inventory =  $198000 - $91000

Balance closing inventory =  $107000

so correct option is a. $107,000

High quality goods and services are made available to consumers because of producers __________.
trapecia [35]

Answer:

b. Would like to compete

d. specilize in production

Explanation:

Competition is when businesses selling similar products, in the same market, try to outsell each other through winning more customers.  When businesses compete, consumers benefit through fair prices and higher quality goods. Competing businesses innovate and create products with a high utility value to attract more customers. As a result, they offer customers products and services of high quality.

A business that engages in a specialization produces fewer varieties of products.  It focuses on manufacturing goods and services that it has a comparative advantage. Due to specialization, the firm and its employees become experts in producing its products of choice. Consequently, it offers goods and services that are of a higher quality than a business that does not specialize.

The Oviedo Company is considering the purchase of a new machine to replace an obsolete one. The machine being used for the opera
Elza [17]

Answer:

Yes it should as the net present value at the firm WACC is positive $ 4,156.54

Explanation:

we are given with the after-tax cost for the machine and after-tax cost of the labor cost savings the new machine will provide

So we should check if the present value of the savings is greater or equal than the machine cost:

C \times \frac{1-(1+r)^{-time} }{rate} = PV\\

C $ 8,000

time 10 years

rate=WACC= 0.1

8000 \times \frac{1-(1+0.1)^{-10} }{0.1} = PV\\

PV $49,156.5368

Net present value:

inflow - cost

49,156.54 - 45,000 = 4,156.54
