Scholars define syncretism as the fusion of two different cultures, ways of living or religious beliefs. This has happened a lot in the history of humanity when a power nation conquered a weak negation, but instead of erasing everything from the conquered nation, the victorious empire not only respects but also adopt part of the culture and tradition of the defeated country. That was the case with the ruler of the Mali Empire, Mansa Musa, the Muslim Sultan, and the syncretism that resulted from the presence of British rule.
