Ballance method is just a fance method of helping you remember to DO THE SAME THING TO BOTH SIDES OF AN EQUATION to keep it ballanced

-10=2(-3x+1)
divide BOTH SIDES by 2 to get rid of that 2 in front
-5=-3x+1
minus BOTH SIDES 1
-6=-3x
divide BOTH SIDES by -3
2=x

-x-7=-12
add7 BOTH SIDES
-x+7-7=-12+7
-x+0=-5
-x=-5
multiplY BOTH SIDES -1
x=5

What is the inverse of f(x)=3x+6 ?
scZoUnD [109]

Answer:

\boxed{\sf \ \ f^{-1}(x)=\dfrac{x-6}{3} \ \ }

Step-by-step explanation:

hello,

we can write

fof^{-1}(x)=x \ and \ fof^{-1}(x)=f(f^{-1}(x))=3f^{-1}(x)+6 \ so\\3f^{-1}(x)+6=x \ \ subtract \ 6\\3f^{-1}(x)=x-6 \ \ divide \ \ by \ \ 3\\ f^{-1}(x)=\dfrac{x-6}{3}

hope this helps

What graph passes the vertical line test?
Marianna [84]

Answer:

The fourth image, or D.

Why?

If you had a ruler and placed it on the grid vertically and moved the ruler left to right, pictures A, B, and C, all have two points that lay on the same X point.

Picture D is the only one that has no points that lay on the same X point, thus making it the right answer.

Thank you for reading into this.

(Hope this helps you! ^^)

BRAINLIEST FOR BEST ANSWER
Temka [501]

Answer:

Option C is correct

The coordinate of C' or the transformed point of C is (-6, 5)

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given graph:

In triangle ABC:

Coordinate of C is:

C(-3, 4)

The rule of transformation is given:

(x, y) \rightarrow (x-3, y+1)

We have to find the coordinate of C'.

Apply the transformation on coordinate C:

C(-3, 4) \rightarrow C'(-3-3, 4+1) = C'(-6, 5)

Therefore, the coordinate of C' is (-6, 5)
