Use Pythagorean theorem
a^2 + b^2 = c^2
Since 37 is the hypotenuse it will go in for 'c'.
a^2 + 35^2 = 37^2
a^2 + 1225 = 1369
Subtract 1225 from both sides.
a^2 = 144
Take the square root of both sides.
a = 12
The missing length is 12

A^2 + b^2 = c^2...where a and b r the legs and c is the hypotenuse

35^2 + b^2 = 37^2
1225 + b^2 = 1369
b^2 = 1369 - 1225
b^2 = 144...by taking the sqrt of both sides, this eliminates the ^2 on left
b = sqrt 144
b = 12...so ur other leg is 12 <==

yan [13]
First, set it up as variables

W=x
L=2x+3

apply perimeter formula and solve
2(x+2x+3)=66
2(3x+3)=66
6x+6=66
6x=60
x=10

width=10
length=23
area= 230

Alecsey [184]

Answer:

y=-\frac{9}{7}x-2

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, we have to convert the equation to slope-intercept form so we can find the perpendicular slope:

7x-9y=-5

-9y=-5-7x

y=-\frac{5}{9}+\frac{7}{9}x

y=\frac{7}{9}x-\frac{5}{9}

Since our slope is m=\frac{7}{9}, then that means the slope perpendicular to it is m=-\frac{9}{7}.

Now we find our new y-intercept so that the line will pass through the point (-7,7):

y=mx+b

y=-\frac{9}{7}+b

7=-\frac{9}{7}(-7)+b

7=9+b

-2=b

Therefore, the equation of the new line is y=-\frac{9}{7}x-2

Which expression is equivalent to the expression below? StartFraction 6 c squared + 3 c Over negative 4 c + 2 EndFraction divide
Triss [41]

Answer:

\frac{-3c(2c + 1)}{2(2c - 1)}

Step-by-step explanation:

We want to find the fraction that is equivalent to the fraction below:

<h2>\frac{6c^2 + 3c}{-4c +2}</h2><h2 />

Let us put the fraction above in a simpler form:

We can factorise the numerator with 3c and the denominator with -2.

\frac{3c(2c + 1)}{-2(2c - 1)}\\\\= \frac{-3c(2c + 1)}{2(2c - 1)}

Therefore, we see that \frac{-3c(2c + 1)}{2(2c - 1)} is equivalent to \frac{6c^2 + 3c}{-4c +2}
