The equation d=50+20w represents the relationship between dollar amount in her bank account and the number of weeks of savings.

Step-by-step explanation:

Amount in bank account = $50

Amount deposited by Priya = $20

Time period = 12

Let,

d be the dollar and w be the weeks

Therefore, we will multiply the number of week,w, with 20 to find total savings  and add the amount that she has initially in her account.

Therefore,

d=50+20w

The equation d=50+20w represents the relationship between dollar amount in her bank account and the number of weeks of savings.

if a pound of grapes cost $0.14 in 1960 and the price of grapes increased at the same rate as the CPI from 1960 to 1980 by appro
masya89 [10]

The CPI increased from 29.6 to 82.4.

The rate of increase, is:

82.4/29.6 = 2.78

Now multiply this rate to the $0.14 price of grapes from 1960.

$0.14 x 2.78 = $0.39

Now to get the amount of increase subtract the new price from the original price:

$0.39 - $0.14 = $0.25 increase.

If the speed of a is 3 ft/s up and is increasing at 4 what is the instantaneous speed and acceleration
Tasya [4]
Sorry I'm in high school.. but according to my physics class, the instantaneous speed is when t (time) is 0, or whatever you'd use (like x).. anyways, when t=0, the instantaneous speed would be 3 ft/s, and the instantaneous acceleration is 0.

What are the similarities and differences that exist between all continuous linear and continuous exponential functions?
max2010maxim [7]
You can recognize exponential and linear functions by their graph. Linear functions are straight lines while exponential functions are curved lines. You can also recognize them by the change in y. If the same number is being added to y, then the function has a constant change and is linear
