Answer:

In this text, it can be found many different features that the author uses in order to help readers understand more about pyramids. He tries to give extra information about different activities and the way Egyptians used to live. For example, here are some of it, the author wrote:

- In the year 3,200 B.C the Ancient Egyptians first developed early forms of writing.

- Hieroglyphics was the name of the type of writing the Egyptians used

- Medical books, calendars, stories, poems, and prayers were some of the things written on papyrus (a plant)

- They had strong beliefs on what religious thoughts were then, such as the Book of the Dead, which was a guide to the afterlife for dead souls.

- They used tombs of early rulers. The tombs were underground chambers containing items that the ruler may want during the afterlife.

And that is how the author mentions more features that might have helped readers better understand pyramids.

tamaranim1 [39]

Critical analysis of the article by Carson, Clayborne. 2005.“To Walk in Dignity: The Montgomery Bus Boycott.” with the method of REEC is described below.

Explanation:

King reads a prepared statement to about 2,500 persons attending mass meetings at Holt Street and First Baptist Churches.

1 He urges “the Negro citizens of Montgomery to return to the busses tomorrow morning on a non-segregated basis.”

2 A Birmingham News account of the meetings reported that he admitted “it is true we got more out of this (boycott) than we went in for. We started out to get modified segregation (on buses) but we got total integration.

3 At six A.M. the following morning King joined E. D. Nixon, Ralph Abernathy, and Glenn Smiley on one of the first integrated buses. During the initial day of desegregated bus seating there were only a few instances of verbal abuse and occasional violence.

4 For more than twelve months now, we, the Negro citizens of Montgomery have been engaged in a non-violent protest against injustices and indignities experienced on city buses Often our movement has been referred to as a boycott movement. The word boycott, however, does not adequately describe the true spirit of our movement. The word boycott is suggestive of merely an economic squeeze devoid of any positive value.

Why did the patriot cause spread so quickly among the colonists after 1763? How did the republican ideals of the revolutionary c
Akimi4 [234]

Answer:

Because after 1763, England began to increase the control under the Thirteen Colonies, creating laws and taxes that benefit only itself, avoiding the self-development of the colonies. The republican ideas became common and spread over the country because the founding fathers did not want to create the same government in America. In a nutshell, they were against a monarchy, and all that this kind of government represents.

Explanation:

After the British victory in the Seven Years' War, to recover the finances, England began to create taxes and laws over its most profitable colonies in America. Until that moment, the Thirteen Colonies saw liberty that was not common in the American colonies at that time (especially if we consider the Iberian colonies). Then, England began to create terrible taxations, Proclamation line, Stamp Act, Sugar Act, Tea Act, Townshend Duties, all these laws to enforce and control the colonies displeased the settlers a lot, creating the feeling of republicanism and independence.
