Give 3 example of real life function with rule of correspondence input and output
Dmitrij [34]

Here are the examples of functions in real life.

1. ATM

If you want to withdraw money from your account, the amount of money dispensed by the machine is the amount you request{input}.As a result, the amount requested is a function of the amount distributed{output}. The machine will never give you more or less than what you asked for.

2.Places you can drive with Two Gallons of Fuel

If you still have two gallons of gas in your car's tank, you can visit several locations before running out of gas. As a result, there could be several answers to this question. In this case, the input is two gallons of fuel, and the output is a list of places you can visit with that amount of fuel.

3. Number of Sodas in a Vending Machine

The number of sodas you get from a vending machine is determined by the amount of money you put into it. If you put the same amount in twice and choose the same soda, you will get the same number of cans as you did the first time. In this case, the number is determined by the amount fed into the machine.

Ber [7]
<h3>A median.</h3>

The "middle" of a sorted list of numbers. To find the Median, place the numbers in value order and find the middle number.

When there are two middle numbers we average them.

We have:

3.9, 7, 3.3, 1, 1.4, 1.7, 2.1, 3.3, 5.2

Let's sort the numbers from the smallest to the largest

1, 1.4, 1.7, 2.1, <u>3.3</u>, 3.3, 3.9, 5.2, 7

<h2>The median is 3.3</h2>

A collection of 108 coins containing only quarters and nickels is worth $21.
Rudiy27

Answer:

The value could replace q is 108 - n ⇒ the last answer

Step-by-step explanation:

* Lets study the values of quarters and nickles

- One quarter = 25 cents

- One nickle = 5 cents

- The number of coins is 108

- The coins are nickles or quarters only

- The coins worth $ 21

* Lets solve the problem

∵ The number of coins is 108 coins

- Let the quarter is q and the nickel is n

∴ q + n = 108 ⇒ (1)

∵ The coins worth $21

∵ $ 1 = 100 cents

∴ $21 = 21 × 100 = 2100 cents

∵ The quarter = 25 cents

∵ The nickels = 5 cents

∴ 25q + 5n = 2100 ⇒ (2)

- To find the value which replace q use equation (1)

∵ q + n = 108 ⇒ subtract n from both sides

∴ q = 108 - n

* The value could replace q is 108 - n
