Most likely a calculator is your best bet for odd numbers.
There are many common squares and many common square roots, such as :
1 squared =1
2 squared =4
3 squared = 9
4 squared =16
5 squared = 25
6 squared = 36 and so on...
same with square roots
root 25 is equal to 5
root 16 is equal to 4
root 9 is equal to 3
root 4 is equal to 2
and so on however not every number works out that way so a calculator is often your best bet to find the exact value

There are 135 people and three door prizes. how many ways can door prizes of $7,500, $750 and $75 be distributed?
igomit [66]

Answer: 2405970 ways

Step-by-step explanation:

When the order of selecting r individuals out of n individual , we use permutations.

The number of permutations of r things taking out of n things is given by :-

^nP_r=\dfrac{n!}{(n-r)!}

Given : There are 135 people and three door prizes .

i.e. n= 135 , r= 3

Then, the total number of ways = ^{135}P_3=\dfrac{135!}{(135-3)!}

=\dfrac{135\times134\times133\times132!}{132!}\\\\=135\times134\times133\\\\=2405970

Hence, there are 2405970 ways to distribute door prizes of $7,500, $750 and $75 .

An ice cream cone is filled with a vanilla and chocolate ice cream at a ratio of 2:
nirvana33 [79]
\bf \textit{volume of a cone}\\\\
V=\cfrac{\pi r^2 h}{3}\quad
\begin{cases}
r=radius\\
h=height\\
----------\\
diameter=2\\
r=\frac{diameter}{2}\\
\quad = 1\\
h=6
\end{cases}\implies V=\cfrac{\pi\cdot  1^2\cdot 6}{3}
\\\\\\
V=2\pi \\\\
-------------------------------

\bf \cfrac{\stackrel{vanilla}{volume}}{\stackrel{chocolate}{volume}}\qquad 2:1\qquad \cfrac{2}{1}\implies \cfrac{2\cdot \frac{V}{2+1}}{1\cdot \frac{V}{2+1}}\implies \cfrac{2\cdot \frac{2\pi }{2+1}}{1\cdot \frac{2\pi }{2+1}}
\\\\\\
\cfrac{2\cdot \frac{2\pi }{3}}{1\cdot \frac{2\pi }{3}}\implies \cfrac{\quad \frac{4\pi }{3}\quad }{\frac{2\pi }{3}}

Cheryl regularly checks her bank account balance online. Yesterday her account balance was $67.12. Today the balance is -$2.56.
AURORKA [14]
Just by simply adding the two quantities you can get the net change.  $67.12 +(addition sign because we want the net change) $2.56= $69.68.  The last number is the net change!
