I graphed the vertices and got a triangle but its very hard to solve its perimeter. Therefore, I identified right triangles to help me solve for the perimeter making each side the hypotenuse of each right triangle.
Pythagorean Theorem: a² + b² = c²
a = short leg ; b = long leg ; c = hypotenuse

P(0,0) ; R(-3,4)
a = 3 ; b = 4 ;
3² + 4² = c²
9 + 16 = c²
25 = c²
√25 = √c²
5 = c

P(0,0) ; Q(8,6)
a = 6 ; b = 8
6² + 8² = c²
36 + 64 = c²
100 = c²
√100 = √c²
10 = c

Q(8,6) ; R(-3,4)
a = 2 ; b = 11
2² + 11² = c²
4 + 121 = c²
125 = c²
√125 = √c²
11.18 = c

Perimeter = 5 + 10 + 11.18 = 26.18

A powered by B equals B powered by A. A does not equal B. What's A and what's B?
MrRissso [65]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

I know that there is a zero and a 1 involved in this somewhere. The  only answer I can get which is a bit of a cheat, is

1^0! = 0!^1

These are not exactly the same thing. The trouble is that they are equal. There is a difference between "not the same thing" and "equal."

If I think of something else, I'll put it in a comment.

This prism has a surface area of 172 cm². What would the surface of the prism be if each dimension was tripled? ( Scale factor i
Alex787 [66]

Answer:

1356 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Each dimension gets multiplied by 2, so the new dimensions are

changed from 2x8x7 to 6x24x21

There are 6 faces to the prism,

The area of the front and back are 6x21 = 126.  There are 2 of them for a total area of 126x2 = 252 cm²

The are of the left and right sides are 24x21 = 504.  There are 2 of them for a total area of 504x2 = 1008 cm²

The area of the top and bottom are 6x24 = 144, there are 2 of them for a total area of 144x2 = 288 cm²

The total surface area is 252 + 1008 + 96 = 1356 cm²

You order a breakfast that costs $10.25 and a coffee that costs $3.45. You leave a 02% tip and the sales tax is 9.5%. What is th
Rasek [7]

Answer: the total cost of the meal is

$17.7415

Step-by-step explanation:

The original cost of the breakfast $10.25 and the original cost of the coffee is $3.45. This means that the total cost of the breakfast and the coffee was

10.25 + 3.45 = $13.7

You leave a 20% tip. This means that the amount of tip that you left is

20/100 × 13.7 = 0.2 × 13.7 = $2.74

The sales tax is 9.5%. This means that the amount of sales tax that you paid is

9.5/100 × 13.7 = 0.095 × 13.7 = $1.3015

Therefore, the total cost of the meal would be

13.7 + 2.74 + 1.3015 = $17.7415
