Answer:

The answer is: C) Allow fifteen students, chosen a random, an extra day to study for the microeconomics exam. Then measure the exam score differences between students who got the extra day to study and those that did not.

Explanation:

The whole idea behind a randomized controlled experiment is to reduce the sources of bias when testing the effectiveness of the hypothesis.

In this case the hypothesis probably was that the students that had an extra day to study will get a higher score in the test. In order to prove that hypothesis the students allowed an extra should be chosen at random. If you only choose the smartest students, then they will probably get higher scores than the rest because they usually do since they´re smarter. Also if you give all the students an extra day, you wouldn´t have any control group to compare.

Why do you think the policy on sugar in the united states is so heavily slanted towards sugar producers at the expense of candy
8_murik_8 [283]
Because sugar is relatively cheap and always used in large quantity, the amount of consumers' demand wouldn't affect the supply of this product, which make sugar inelastic.
For this certain product, manufacturers could only reflect on social implication when determining the price of the product, and produce it with acceptable margin.

The most important implicit cost generally omitted from the accounting statement of a firm is the ____________.a. cost of compli
Ganezh [65]

Answer:

The correct answer is letter "B": opportunity cost of the equity capital invested by the owners.

Explanation:

In Accounting, explicit costs are those incurred as a result of the operation of the companies. Raw materials, direct labor, overhead or rent are examples of explicit costs. Implicit costs represent the opportunity costs of the firm over forgone decisions or decisions not taken at all like avoiding hiring more employees.

The economic profit of a firm includes both explicit and implicit costs. The accounting profit of a company includes only the explicit costs, thus, the opportunity costs of the equity capital of investors are not taken into consideration.

Burka [1]

Answer:

Overheads apply = $2,400

Explanation:

given data

factory overhead = $900,000

general and administrative costs = $600,000

per hour = $20

Direct labor costs = $300,000

solution

we know here Total direct labor hours that is

Total direct labor hours = \frac{$300000}{$20}

Total direct labor hours = 15,000 direct labor hours

so here Factory overheads per direct labor hour will be

Factory overheads per direct labor hour = \frac{900000}{15000}

Factory overheads per direct labor hour = $60 per direct labor hour

so here Overheads applied to Job will be

Overheads apply = 40 direct labor hours × $60 per direct labor

Overheads apply = $2,400
