Some useful relations and identities:

\tan x=\dfrac{\sin x}{\cos x}

\sin^2x=\dfrac{1-\cos2x}2

\cos^2x=\dfrac{1+\cos2x}2

By the first relation, we have

\tan^2x\sin^3x=\dfrac{\sin^5x}{\cos^2x}=\dfrac{(\sin^2x)^2\sin x}{\cos^2x}

Applying the two latter identities, we get

\dfrac{\left(\frac{1-\cos2x}2\right)^2\sin x}{\frac{1+\cos2x}2}=\dfrac{\frac{1-2\cos2x+\cos^22x}4\sin x}{\frac{1+\cos2x}2}=\dfrac{(1-2\cos2x+\cos^22x)\sin x}{2(1+\cos2x)}

We can apply the third identity again:

\dfrac{(1-2\cos2x+\cos^22x)\sin x}{2(1+\cos2x)}=\dfrac{\left(1-2\cos2x+\frac{1+\cos4x}2\right)\sin x}{2(1+\cos2x)}=\dfrac{(3-4\cos2x+\cos4x)\sin x}{4(1+\cos2x)}

and this is probably as far as you have to go, but by no means is it the only possible solution.

What is the equation of the line that is perpendicular to line m and passes through the point (3, 2)?
agasfer [191]

Answer:

y = \frac{2}{5} x + \frac{4}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

Calculate the slope of line m using the slope formula

m = \frac{y_{2}-y_{1}  }{x_{2}-x_{1}  }

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (- 2, 2) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (0, - 3) ← 2 points on the line

m = \frac{-3-2}{0-(-2)} = \frac{-5}{0+2} = - \frac{5}{2}

Given a line with slope m then the slope of a line perpendicular to it is

m_{perpendicular} = - \frac{1}{m} = - \frac{1}{-\frac{5}{2} } = \frac{2}{5} , then

y = \frac{2}{5} x + c ← is the partial equation in slope- intercept form

To find c substitute (3, 2 ) into the partial equation

2 = \frac{6}{5} + c ⇒ c = 2 - \frac{6}{5} = \frac{4}{5}

y = \frac{2}{5} x + \frac{4}{5} ← equation of perpendicular line

After midnight, the cost of any taxi journey increased by 45% one journey cost $84.10 after midnight calculate the cost of the s
ArbitrLikvidat [17]

Answer:

$121.95

Step-by-step explanation:

First, we need to change 45% into a decimal. To do that, move the decimal point two spaces back, and we will have 0.45.

Multiply that by the original price $84.10

$84.10 x 0.45 = 37.845

Then add 84.10 with 37.845

This adds up to $121.945, which you can round to $121.95

Ramer and knox began a partnership by investing $64,000 and $94,000, respectively. the partners agreed to share net income and l
Butoxors [25]

Each partner's share given a first-year net income of $102,800 is $-3,300.

Each partner's share given a first-year net loss of $20,800 is $-44,300.

<h3>What is each partner's share?</h3>

Partner' share = net income / loss - interest - salary salary allowance

Interest = ($64000 x 10%) + ($94000x 10%) = $15,800

Salary = $52,000 + $41,600 = $93,600

Share of net income = [$102,800 - (15,800 + 93600)] / 2  = $-3,300

Share of net loss = [-20,800 - (15,800 + 93600)] / 2 = $-44,300
