Answer:

C. My English teacher gave me a million and one pages to read tonight!

Explanation:

Hyperbole is a deliberate exaggeration used to make a point, to emphasize or to add humor on something and that employs words or phrases that are obviously false and thus, should not be taken literally. Sentence C uses this figure of speech when using the phrase “a million and one pages” to emphasize how much work the speaker was given.

What can you infer about Macbeth’s mood from his own words in act V scene iii?
lakkis [162]
Macbeth is feeling invincible in this scene. His mania has risen to a level where he feels he cannot be touched or hurt until Birnam wood comes to his castle, which he believes to be an impossibility. He has taken the witches' prophecies and held them in his mind as if they put him on top of the world. He carelessly yells at his staff and demands that the doctor just simply fix Lady Macbeth. His mood is summed up at the end of the scene when he says "I will not be afraid of death and bane / Till Birnam forest come to Dunsinane". This shows that he will never be afraid of death or being hurt until the forest comes to him.

Select the sentence using direct address.
QveST [7]

The sentence that uses direct address is "Where are you going, Fred?".

Direct address in grammar means that you are speaking directly to a person or group of people either calling them by name, as in example, "Where are you going Fred?", or using the second person pronoun "you". As in the example above, the name is often separated from the rest of the sentence or question by a comma. For example, "Maria, I need you to finish your homework now."
