The slope is -4. To find the slope you use the formula rise/run. Since the slope is negative the rise will be counted as a fall. This will lead to -4/1 which equals your slope -4.

Leno4ka [110]
ANSWER:
y = 119
z = 66

What is the sales tax rate?
Allisa [31]
Hello there! We are solving for the tax rate, so let's start off by subtracting both prices. 4.32 - 4.00 is 0.32. That's a 32 cent difference in the price. Now, let's divide that number by the original price to find the percentage. 0.32/4 is 0.08. Multiply that number by 100 and that is 8%. There. The sales tax rate is 8%.

Before changes to its management staff, an automobile assembly line operation had a scheduled mean completion time of minutes. T
Sergio [31]

No, we don't have evidence to support that the mean completion time under new management has decreased but we can conclude that it remains at 15.5 minutes.

Given mean of 15.5 minutes , standard deviation of 1.7 minutes, sample size of 90 and sample mean of 15.4 minutes.

We can do the following study for conclusion:

Firstly the null hypothesis is

H_{0}: x=15.5

The alternate hypothesis is

H_{1}: x < 15.5

since the value is less than this is a one tailed test.

Z=x bar-x/d/\sqrt{n}

where x is sample mean and d is standard deviation.

Z=15.4-15.5/1.7/\sqrt{90}

=-0.1/1.7/9.4868

=-0.560

Critical value of Z at 0.1 level of significance

Z=-1.28

We fails to reject the null hypothesis since -0.560>-1,28

Hence we don't have evidence to support that the mean completion time under new management has decreased but we can conclude that it remains at 15.5 minutes.

standard deviation of 1.7 minutes,

sample size of 90

and sample mean of 15.4 minutes.

what is the solution to this system of equations (Use the elimination method by multiplying the first equation by 3.) 2x+y=20 6x
user100 [1]

Answer:

(7, 6)

Step-by-step explanation:

multiply first eq. by 3 to get 6x - 3y = 60

now do

6x + 3y = 60

- 6x - 5y = 12

--------------------

8y = 48

solve for y: y = 6

with this y value, plug it in to the first equation (easier to solve) and get 2x + 6 = 20

solve for x and get x = 7

so ans is (7, 6)
