Mathematics
1 answer:
Fantom [35]4 years ago
8 0
⇒Δ=6^2+4*72= 36+288=324
V324=18

x1= ( -6+18)/2=6
x2= (-6-18)/2=-24/2=-12

⇒ x1= 6
x2= - 12

Answer:

32 hamburgers, 20 hot dogs

Step-by-step explanation: 5+8=13. then you divide 52 by 13 that equals 4 and then multiply the hot dog 5 times 4 = 20 and 8 times 4= 32

How do you solve logarithmic equations such as log(2x)= -1 or 3log(2)+log(x)= 3?
Aliun [14]
Remember some simle log rules
loga+logb=log(ab)
xloga=loga^x
log_ax=y means a^y=x
also, if no base is stated, assume base 10

so

log(2x)=-1 is base 10 and translates to
10^-1=2x
1/10=2x
divide both sides by 2 aka times 1/2
1/20=x

3log(2)+log(x)=3
log(2^3)+log(x)=3
log(8)+log(x)=3
log(8x)=3
base 10
10^3=8x
1000=8x
divide both sides by 8
x=125

Need help with this math question
anastassius [24]

Answer:

The vertex is: (6, 8)

Step-by-step explanation:

First solve the equation for the variable y

x^2-4y-12x+68=0

Add 4y on both sides of the equation

4y=x^2-4y+4y-12x+68

4y=x^2-12x+68

Notice that now the equation has the general form of a parabola

ax^2 +bx +c

In this case

a=1\\b=-12\\c=68

Add (\frac{b}{2}) ^ 2 and subtract (\frac{b}{2}) ^ 2 on the right side of the equation

(\frac{b}{2}) ^ 2=(\frac{-12}{2}) ^ 2\\\\(\frac{b}{2}) ^ 2=(-6) ^ 2\\\\(\frac{b}{2}) ^ 2=36

4y=(x^2-12x+36)-36+68

Factor the expression that is inside the parentheses

4y=(x-6)^2+32

Divide both sides of the equality between 4

\frac{4}{4}y=\frac{1}{4}(x-6)^2+\frac{32}{4}

y=\frac{1}{4}(x-6)^2+8

For an equation of the form

y=a(x-h)^2 +k

the vertex is: (h, k)

In this case

h=6\\k =8

the vertex is: (6, 8)

Solve if x = 2, 10 +3(12 ÷ 3x)) = ?
QveST [7]

Answer: Sup. it's 16

Step-by-step explanation: Hope dis helps

if x = 2 and our equation is 10 +3(12 ÷ 3x), then u use substitution

So, the equation would become 10 + 3(12 ÷ 3(2)), which is 10 + 3(12 ÷ 6)

12÷6= 2, so the equation becomes 10 + 3(2).

3(2) = 6, so the equation would be 10 + 6 = 16
