A. Friction from the landscape doesn't slow them down. as altitude increases, there wind speed increases primarily due to less friction slowing down the wind. Earth's terrain by its very nature provides friction which slows the wind down. Buildings, tress, hills, etc all slow the wind. The higher up you go, there is less things to impede the wind and provide any friction. The wind speeds are therefore higher at the high altitudes.

uranmaximum [27]
“ A scale provides a geographical analysis to a specific surface feature on the map. The analysis explains the significance of the land feature and the distance between landmarks. The geographical analysis confirms the land feature type as a mountain, building, or road.”

An example where a scale may influence analysis on a phenomenon could potentially be comparing the distance between two countries that could be trading or fighting. Knowing the closeness between these countries could influence the fight / trade-routes and battle strategies. If you need more help, let me know!

Anit [1.1K]

Answer:

h'(-1) = 5

Explanation:

Given - The table above gives values of f, f’, g, and g’ at selected values

             of x.

x f(x) f'(x) g(x) g'(x)

-1 6 5 3 -2

1 3 -3 -1 2

3 1 -2 2 3

To find - If h(x) = f(g(x)), then h’(1) = ......?

Proof -

Given that,

h(x) = f(g(x))

⇒h'(x) = f'(g(x))

⇒h'(1) = f'(g(1))

Now,

g(1) = -1

⇒f'(-1) = 5

⇒h'(-1) = 5
