I’d feel scared or panicked not knowing if i’ll manage to escape the shark or not or exit without being injured and being able to fulfill my duty. and maybe im down there or in the situation is because perhaps there was someone in the water that needed rescuing and the results can be that i managed to help that person and return safely or i managed to help the person but didn’t make it (since people like these must prioritize the citizens safety over theirs) or i managed to save the person and return but with some injuries (minor or major injuries)

Why are there three lines in each stanza? What could be the purpose of the poet in writing three lines per stanza? (Islands and
Flura [38]

Answer and Explanation:

"Islands and Icebergs" by Ralph Semino Galan is a poem about reading a poem. The speaker asks readers to imagine the paper as being the ocean and the words to be floating on the that ocean. That is a clue as to why he writes three lines per stanza. The length of the lines, along with their number, reminds us of the waves, even the foam, to floats up and down, back and forth, on the ocean. The author wrote three lines per stanza as a way to make the poem itself resemble an ocean, instead of simply asking as to imagine it.
