Answer:

6 jars of peanut butter.

30 loaves of bread.

Step-by-step explanation:

Accordind to the problem, a loaf of bread is $1.50, and a jar of peanut butter is $3. If Dusty has $30 income, the inequality that represents this is

1.50x+3y\leq 30

Where x is bread and y is peanut butter.

Then, a loaf of bread is $1 and a jar of peanut butter is $5. So,

1x+5y\leq 30

However, we can't use those equations in a system, because they are not related.

Notice that we just need to say how many loaves of bread Dusty can buy. With $30, Dusty can buy 30 loaf of bread, because each one costs $1.

Or, Dusty could buy 6 jars of peanut butter, because each one costs $5 and 5 times 6 is equal to 30.

Explain why the relationship is not linear.
zheka24 [161]
So, to be a linear relationship....the difference between the two consecutive "x" values and the difference between the two consecutive "y" values must be same.

In this case,
if we look at the x values , 4 - 3 = 1
                                          3 - 2 = 1
                                          2 - 1 = 1
they are all the same,
BUT, if we look at the y values, 11.5 - 8.5 = 3
                                                   8.5 - 6.5 = 2
                                                   6.5 - 4.5 = 2
Here, the differences between the "y" values are all not the same.

SO, the relationship is not linear.
