Pay attention here because I'm adding an extra letter to our circle to help keep track of the values in our formula.  OUTSIDE of the intercepted arc I'm adding the point E.  So the major arc is arc BEG and the minor arc is arc BG.  The formula then for us is ∠BFG= \frac{1}{2}(arcBEG-arcBG).  We just don't have values for the arcs yet.  If the measure of the central angle is 4x+238, then the measure of arcBG is also 4x+238.  Around the outside of the circle is 360°.  So we will use it in an expression.  ArcBEG=360-(4x+238).  Fitting that into our formula we have 2x+146= \frac{1}{2}[(360-4x-238)-(4x+238)].  Doing all the simplifying inside there we have 2x+146= \frac{1}{2}(122-4x-4x-238) and 2x+146= \frac{1}{2}(-8x-116).  Multiply both sides by 2 to get rid of the fraction: 4x+292=-8x-116.  Combine like terms to get 12x = -408 and divide to solve for x.  x = -34.  Fourth choice down from the top.

two arcs of concentric circles are intercepted by the same central angle. the resulting arc length of the arc of the larger circ
Bond [772]
the complete question in the attached figure

Let
A°-----------> <span>the same central angle

</span><span>For the larger circle
length of larger circle=2*pi*r-------> 2*pi*12-----> 75.36 m

360</span>°<span> (full circle) has a length of------------> 75.36 m
 A</span>°-----------------------------------> 16 m
A°=(16)*360/75.36--------> A=76.43°

For the smaller circle
length of smaller circle=2pi*r-------> 2*pi*7.5-----> 47.1 m

360° (full circle) has a length of------------> 47.1 m
 76.43°-----------------------------------> X
X=76.43*47.1/360-----> X=10 m ----> length arc of the smaller circle

the answer is
the length arc of the smaller circle is 10 m

The length of a rectangle is three more than twice the width. The perimeter is 96. What are the dimensions?
SIZIF [17.4K]

Answer:

Width =15

Length =33

Step-by-step explanation:

Take width as x

And length as 2x+3

Perimeter as 96

Formula of the perimeter of a rectangle is 2l+2w

X+×+2×+3+2×+3=96

6x+6=96

6x=96-6

6×=90

X=15

Width =x and x =15 so width =15 while length =33

Solve the equation 2y+4=3(2x-6) for y. Show and justify your steps.
ElenaW [278]
Hello :
<span>2y+4=3(2x-6)
2y+4 -4 =3(2x-6)-4
2y = 6x-18-4
2y =6x-22
y =(6x-22)/2
y= 3x-11</span>

Please help me with this question
san4es73 [151]

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: f'(x) = x^2e^{2x^3} and f(0) = 0

We can solve for f(x) by writing

\displaystyle f(x) = \int f'(x)dx=\int x^2e^{2x^3}dx

Let u = 2x^3

\:\:\:\:du=6x^2dx

Then

\displaystyle f(x) = \int x^2e^{2x^3}dx = \dfrac{1}{6}\int e^u du

\displaystyle \:\:\:\:\:\:\:=\frac{1}{6}e^{2x^3} + k

We know that f(0) = 0 so we can find the value for k:

f(0) = \frac{1}{6}(1) + k \Rightarrow k = -\frac{1}{6}

Therefore,

\displaystyle f(x) = \frac{1}{6} \left(e^{2x^3} - 1 \right)
