The graph I did is pretty bad but here’s how to do it.

You start at -2 and then go down 3 and over 1 until you reach the end of the graph. Vice versa, you go up 3 and over 1 to get something like below.

Write an equivalent series with the index of summation beginning at n = 1. ∞ (−1)n + 1(n + 1)xn n = 0
kkurt [141]

Looks like the starting series is

\displaystyle\sum_{n=0}^\infty\left((-1)^n+1\right)(n+1)x^n

Note the degree of the first few terms in the series, for n=0,1,2, are x^0,x^1,x^2, and so on.

So if the series were to start at n=1, we would need to preserve that pattern, and we do that by replacing n with n-1:

\displaystyle\sum_{n=1}^\infty\left((-1)^{n-1}+1\right)(n-1+1)x^{n-1}

Simplifying a bit, we end up with

\displaystyle\sum_{n=1}^\infty\left(1-(-1)^n\right)nx^{n-1}

Let f(x) = 2x2 − 2x + 7 and g(x) = x2 + 9x − 6. Find f(x) − g(x).
Nataly_w [17]

Answer:

Given information :

f(x) = 2x^2-2x+7\\g(x) = x^2+9x-6

Find f(x) - g(x)

f(x)-g(x) = (2x^2-2x+7) - (x^2+9x-6)

Distribute the negative to the second polynomial

f(x)-g(x)=2x^2-2x+7 -x^2 -9x + 6

optional : rearrange the terms

f(x)-g(x)=2x^2-x^2-2x-9x+7+6

Combine like terms and find f(x) - g(x)

f(x)-g(x) = x^2 - 11x + 13

How do you use a abacus in a simple way?
Allushta [10]
Each column is a digit, and the top two beads each represent 5 and the bottom 5 beads each represent 1. To read it, you add up the values of the "top" beads that are dropped down and the "bottom" beads that are raised up, and you read the number left to right.

Please answer using this ratio. I appreciate it!
Vlada [557]

Using proportions, it is found that the length of the rectangle should be of 152 inches.

<h3>What is a proportion?</h3>

A proportion is a fraction of a total amount, and the measures are related using a rule of three. Due to this, relations between variables, either direct or inverse proportional, can be built to find the desired measures in the problem.

His proportion of width-to-length is of 5/8. For this problem, the width is of 95 inches, hence the length is found according to the following<em> rule of three</em>:

5/8 = 95/x

Applying cross multiplication:

5x = 8 x 95

x = 8(95)/5

x = 152 inches.

The length of the rectangle should be of 152 inches.
