Reflection in math is where each each point of the image on a grid is the same distance apart from the line it was reflected across (it’s either X or Y axis). In science it’s basically just throwing back (or bouncing) sound or light off a surface with out it being absorbed.

Refraction is the change of a wave passing from one medium. Or a bending of light or a sound wave. For example when you put a pencil it a cup of water it look likes it bends.
