Answer:

A function is called Quadratic if ,it consist of  only one variable, maximum of three terms, and highest degree of the variable  in that Polynomial is 2.

Let start from option 1

A. y *(y+4) - y =6

y² + 4 y - y -6=0

y²+3 y -6=0

This is Quadratic Function.

Option B:

3 x +2 + 6 x -1=0

9 x-1=0

Not, Quadratic Function

Option C:

4 b*(b)=0

4 b²=0

This is Quadratic Function.

Option D:

3 a- 7 =2 * (7 a-3)

3 a - 7=14 a - 6

3 a - 14 a = 7 -6

-11 a =1

Not a Quadratic Function.

Option A :  y(y + 4) - y = 6

And, Option C: 4 b (b)=0

are Quadratic Functions.

According to the Rational Root Theorem, which statement about f(x) = 12x3 – 5x2 + 6x + 9 is true?
Dmitriy789 [7]

The complete statement is (d) Any rational root of f(x) is a factor of 9 divided by a factor of 12.

<h3>How to determine the rational roots?</h3>

The polynomial is given as:

12x^3 - 5x^2 + 6x + 9

The first term in the above equation is 12 i.e. 12x^3, while the last term is 9

To determine the possible rational roots, we divide the factors of the last term i.e. 12 by the factors of the first term i.e. 12

Hence, the complete statement is (d) Any rational root of f(x) is a factor of 9 divided by a factor of 12.
