Ok so find the legnth of one side
if we drwa the diagonal, we cut the squre into 2 right triangles with legs equal measure

pythagorean theorem
for a right triangle with legs legnth a and b, and hypotnuse legnth c
a^2+b^2=c^2
since square, a=b
a^2+a^2=c^2
2a^2=c^2
diagonal=hypotnuse=32
2a^2=32^2
2a^2=1024
divide both sides by 2
a^2=512
sqrt both sides
a=16√2

the perimiter is 4 times one side
side=a=16√2
4 times 16√2=64√2

permiter is 64√2 cm

What is the area of a rectangle with vertices at (−3, −1) , (1, 3) , (3, 1) , and (−1, −3) ?
77julia77 [94]
The coordinates of the rectangle are (-3,-1), (1,3), (3,1) and (-1,-3).

Draw the given rectangle as shown in the figure below.

Calculate the length of the rectangle as
a = √(4² + 4²) = 4√2
Calculate the width of the rectangle as
b = √(2² + (-2)²) = 2√2
Calculate the area of the rectangle as
A = a*b = (4√2) * (2√2) = 16

-PLEASE ANSWER- An experiment was repeated a number of times and the following measurements were obtained:
gladu [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given data, it can be observed that there are two number that are abnormal and extremely different from others, 322 and 19. Eliminating these two numbers would reduce the error that can be generated.

Then to obtain the best single result from the measurements, find the mean of the other numbers.

i.e  52.3, 52.5, 52.2, 52.6

Mean =  \frac{52.3 + 52.5 + 52.2 + 52.6}{4}

     = \frac{209.6}{4}

     = 52.4

Thus the best single result that can be obtained is 52.4.

A gas company’s delivery truck has a cylindrical tank that is 16 feet in diameter and 48 feet long. How much gas can fit in the
Nady [450]
Answer: V=9651 ft^3

Explanation: This is a volume question and the formula for volume of a cylinder is πr^2h.

The radius is the diameter divided by 2, which is 8.

We can put the equation in terms of π by doing π*(8^2*48)=3072π.

Solving this gives us about 9650.972632, which you can round to get 9651.

If sinθ = 12/13 and θ is an acute angle, find cotθ.
Tju [1.3M]

Answer:

cot(θ)=5/12

Step-by-step explanation:

(I'm going to replace theta with x to save time.)

Recall that sine is equal to opposite over hypotenuse. Thus:

sin(x)=12/13, this means that the opposite side is 12 while the hypotenuse is 13 (well, it doesn't have to be, but their ratios are).

Find the adjacent side using the Pythagorean Theorem.

13^2 = 12^2 + adj^2

adj^2 = 25

adj = 5.

Recall that tan(x) is opposite over adjacent. This means that cot(x) is adjacent is opposite.

Therefore: cot(x) = 5/12.
