Start with 1 liter take away 1/4 to see how much was used for the cups:
1 -1/4= 3/4;
Divide 3/4 to 6 cups to find how much was poured in each cup:
3/4 dividend by6 is the same as
3/4 • 1/6 = 3•1/ 4•6 = 1/4•2 = 1/8

Each one had 1/8 litre
because she had 1/4 out of 1 left so she used 3/4 litre to fill 6 glasses
3/4 ÷6 = 1/8
