Primarily there are three degrees of burns first, second and third. The first degree of burn is least severe and the third degree of burn is most severe.

During first degree of burn, only epidermis get affected. The site of burn becomes red, dry and painful but no blisters are formed. In the second degree of burn epidermis and some part of dermis gets is damages and blisters are formed.

In third-degree burn epidermis and dermis gets destroyed and the burn encompasses the dermis and damaged tendons and muscles. The area that burned become white and charred and due damage in nerve endings sensation is not present in that region. So the correct answer is third-degree burn.
