Anne Bradstreet was one of the most finest American poet of all times. Her works are read and appreciated even today. Almost all of her poems are an ode to her father, her husband, and her family.
In one of her poem, ‘To Her Father with Some Verses’, she mentions that whatever she had become it was all because of her father. He was the one who always stood by her and appreciated her work. And which is why she feels indebted to her father.
On her poem she states that owes everything to him and which is why she will be repaying him all her life with whatever she can. She have difficulty repaying because she feels that nothing can be enough to repay the debt she has.
On the last stanza of her poem she depicts that she will keep repaying him until her last breathe.
