A free enterprise system is one of the reasons for the continued dominance of the United States in economic and technological terms. The free enterprise  system is an economic system in which private business and companies operate in competition, with minimal or even no state control. This system encourages the establishment of independent, innovative businesses. It also encourages competition, which leads to the rise of efficient, competitive businesses.
