In order to make a profit of $100, the fundraiser has to make and sell at least 30 t-shirts. (8 * 30) + 20 = 260. 12 * 30 = 360. 360 - 260 = 100.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Each shirt = $12

Money made = 12x

The cost per shirt to make = 20 + 8x

Need at least = $100

Amount made - cost = profit 12x - (20-8x) ≥ 100

12x-20-8x = 100

4x-20 = 100

+20 +20

4x /4= 120/ 4

x = 30  —>  x ≥ 30

Let f(x) be a continuous function such that f(1) and f'(x)-Vx3 + 6. What is the value of,f(5)? (A) 11.446 (C) 24.672 (B) 13.446
tia_tia [17]

Answer:

f(5) = 26.672 which is option D

Step-by-step explanation:

From question, f(1) = 2 and f'(x)=√(x^3 + 6)

f(5) = f(1) + (5,1)∫ f'(x) dx

Integrating using the boundary 5 and 1;

f(5) = 2 + (5,1)∫√(x^3 + 6) dx

f(5) = 2 + 24.672

So f(5) = 26.672

If $400 is invested at the rate of 6% for one year, what will bet the total value of the investment (the amount)?
Olenka [21]
Find 6% of $400 and add to $400.

6% of $400 =

= 6% * $400

= 0.06 * $400

= $24

6% of $400 is $24. That is the interest earned on $400 at 6% for 1 year.

Now we add it to the original amount, $400.

$400 + $24 = $424

Answer: $424
