The correct answer is A. By introducing the conflict that Nora is proud of her accomplishment but has to keep it secret

Explanation:

In literature, the conflict is a type of struggle one of the characters experience and that represents a problematic situation that needs to be solved. Conflicts can be of multiple types depending on the element that represents the opposing force the character needs to struggle against. One of these is the social issue or conflict in which multiple characters belong to the conflict which means there is no unique opposing force.

In the case of the excerpt presented two characters (Nora and Mrs. Linde) are speaking about the trip that saved the life of another character called Torvald. During this conversation, Nora tells Mrs. Linde she is proud as it was her (Nora) and not her father the one that provided the money for the trip of Torvard and therefore the one that saved him. However, a conflictive situation or issue emerges as Nora insists no one can know this and Mrs. Linde should keep the secret. Thus, in this excerpt, the author develops a social issue, which is a conflict in which multiple individuals are involved, by introducing the conflict that Nora is proud of her accomplishment but has to keep it secret.

Lyric poems often deal with intense emotions. Which statement best describes the shift in emotion in "Lift Every Voice and Sing"
algol [13]
I think the answer would be letter A. In my opinion, the shift from happiness to resignation and anger in the second stanza was evident. The poet had expressed happiness by rejoicing. The first stanza also denotes victory. However, the emotions on the second verse were more on remorse and sadness. It was speaking of bitterness and moving on from the past events.
