Simile and imagery
Hughes is using simile in this poem to compare what happens when you put off dreams. He compares deferred dreams to things with very strong sensory imagery like drying up "like a raisin in the sun" or stinking "like rotten meat". These details help the reader understand the heavy impact of what will happen if you put your dreams on hold.
Authors might have something else in mind for what they are writing about.
Analyze different parts of the creed and write why & how these could effect you in your daily life/ as a cadet. This would probably be the easiest way to write this.
Why did the neighbours immediately call the cops? Did they already know he was guilty? Were the cops making him go insane at the end? Did the cops suspect him before he admitted it? What is wrong with the narrator mentally? Is he even human?
Change "stole" to "stolen" so that the sentence would read
Marie has stolen my heart.
Now it is correct :)
