The correct answer is B) By intimidating and sometimes attacking agents responsible for enforcing British policies.

In the mid-1760s, American colonists responded to the British government's imposition of taxes on consumer items, such as sugar and paper, through political means and by direct action, including all of the following responses except for "By intimidating and sometimes attacking agents responsible for enforcing British policies."

American colonists reacted in different ways to the heavy taxation of the British crown such as by calling for revolution and demanding American independence, by calling a congress to debate Britain's right to pass legislation and impose taxes on the American colonies, and by organizing a boycott of British goods.

Indeed the First Continental Congress was held in 1774 in reaction to the Coercive Acts imposed by the English because colonists had resisted to new taxation. That First Continental Congress was the form of government of the American colonies. The Second Continental Congres was held once the Revolutionary War had started. It was installed in 1776 and served to sign the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.

How did the declaration and accusations against the king affect the set up of the new American government under the constitution
dsp73

The accusations made against King George III had a direct effect on what the founding fathers considered important to include in the declaration of independence, which ended up setting the basis of the new American government to be guided by the later written Constitution. Due to the political climate at the time, the declaration of Independence was created as a sort of a justification for the necessity of separation from England; based on the concerns of the colonist about the way King George III was ruling at the time, characterized by practices such as abuse of power, tyranny, and  exclusion of the colonist in government.

Why did Wilson do nothing about the violence in DC?
tigry1 [53]

Answer:

Woodrow Wilson is best known as the World War I president who earned a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to found the League of Nations. A progressive reformer who fought against monopolies and child labor, he served two terms starting in 1913.

But Wilson was also a segregationist who wrote a history textbook praising the Confederacy and, in particular, the Ku Klux Klan. As president, he rolled back hard-fought economic progress for Black Americans, overseeing the segregation of multiple agencies of the federal government.

While Wilson was lauded for his role in World War I, historians and activists have long called attention to his other actions. And institutions have grappled with how to respond to this side of his legacy. In June 2020, Monmouth University announced it would rename its Woodrow Wilson Hall. And after years of protests, Princeton University said it would remove his name from its prestigious public policy school, explaining that his segregationist attitudes and policies made Wilson an “especially inappropriate namesake.” In places like Washington, D.C., historians and parents have called for removing his name from public high schools.
