During the constitutional convention of 1787 George mason argued
icang [17]

George Mason did not want the Constitution and did not want to sign it. He did not want the federal government to have a large amount of power, as this gave the government a lot power to put on citizens, like the British did to the colonists. George Mason wanted a strong central government, like the Articles of Confederation, which gives very little power to the government, and makes it so they can not regulate trade or even effectively make people obey to certain laws.

How was the Puritan church involved in the Salem witch trials of the 1690s?
Alekssandra [29.7K]
These guys basically plucked from a handful of "sinful wrongdoers" that they believed were to be punished by their own god, and yet took things into their hands. They'd accuse any woman as of being a witch. A servant girl, a sick old lady married to her servant, a homeless begger. And so forth. They played the game telephone and spread lies about anyone and everyone resulting in innocents dying.

A country would want to get a larger military to overpower or to stand ground against other counties. "Problems"  that this could cause to a nation is to be over militarized and not care about its citizens, problems to surrounding nations is that they would feel threatened by a larger military.
