If a spinner divided into 2 sections is spun 5 times, how many outcomes are possible?

Mathematics

3 0
It's a coin toss essentially. So. You say for each spin, there is 2 more possibilities, wherein:
1 spin = 2 possibilities,
2 spins = 4 possibilities
3 spins = 8, etc.
so a spinner divided into 2 sections spun 5 times, has 2^5 possibilities, which is 32 possibilities in total.

Triangle RST has vertices R(2, 0), S(4, 0), and T(1, –3). The image of triangle RST after a rotation has vertices
Ira Lisetskai [31]

Answer:

The correct option is C.

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that the triangle RST has vertices R(2, 0), S(4, 0), and T(1, –3) and the image has vertices R'(0, –2), S'(0, –4), and T'(–3, –1). .

From the given vertices it is clear that the relation between preimage and image is defined as

(x,y)\rightarrow (y,-x)

This is the rule of rotation, when the figure rotates 90 degree clockwise adn 270 degree counter clock wise.

R0, 270° represents 270 degree rotation counter clock wise about the origin.

Therefore correct option is C.

What is m∠A? help haha
Gennadij [26K]
I’m just going to explain how I got my answer because it might help you understand for any future problems you have like this!!

So in this case, AEB is a mirrored dilation, or for easier terms, smaller twin, of CED, so if AEB was enlarged to the same size as CED, all the angle sizes would be the same, so we have to find the dilation factor of AEB. The dilation factor is basically just how many times smaller AEB is than CED. To do this, we’re going to take a similar angle measurement from both and divide them. So, angle ABE, and angle EDC would be the same angle, so we’re going to take those measurements, so 35 divided by 18 to get 1.94. That means 1.94 would be our dilation factor. In order to find angle a, we’re going to take it’s matching angle measurement on the opposite figure, which would be angle ECD and divide that by 1.94, so 43/1.94 which would give you around 22. The actual answer was like 22.164, but I would just round to 22!! Your final answer would be A= 22 degrees!! Apologies if this is wrong, I tried my best!!

EXREAMLY URGENT!! WILL FOREVER THANK YOU!!!! PLS JUST TAKE A LOOK!!!!! 1. What is the ratio of the sides of triangle XYZ?
sdas [7]

Answer:

Dear Laura Ramirez

Answer to your query is provided below

The ratio of triangle XYZ is 1:√3 :2.

Step-by-step explanation:

A 30-60-90 right triangle (literally pronounced "thirty sixty ninety") is a special type of right triangle where the three angles measure 30 degrees, 60 degrees, and 90 degrees. The triangle is significant because the sides exist in an easy-to-remember ratio: 1:√3 :2.

The package of a particular brand of rubber band says that the bands can hold a weight of 7 lbs. Suppose that we suspect this mi
Nadusha1986 [10]

Answer:

The statement is True.

Step-by-step explanation:

In this case we need to determine whether the rubber bands in a package of a particular brand of rubber band can hold a weight of 7 lbs or less.

A one-sample test can be used to perform the analysis.

The hypothesis can be defined as follows:

H₀: The mean weight the rubber bands can hold is 7 lbs, i.e. μ = 7.

Hₐ: The mean weight the rubber bands can hold is less than 7 lbs, i.e. μ < 7.

The information provided is:

n=36\\\bar x=6.6\ \text{lbs}\\\sigma=2\ \text{lbs}

As the population standard deviation is provided, we will use a z-test for single mean.

Compute the test statistic value as follows:

z=\frac{\bar x-\mu}{\sigma/\sqrt{n}}=\frac{6.6-7}{2/\sqrt{36}}=-1.20

The test statistic value is -1.20.

Decision rule:

If the p-value of the test is less than the significance level then the null hypothesis will be rejected.

Compute the p-value for the two-tailed test as follows:

p-value=P(Z

*Use a z-table for the probability.

The p-value of the test is 0.1151.

The p-value of the test is very large for all the commonly used significance level. The null hypothesis will not be rejected.

Thus, it can be concluded that the mean weight the rubber bands can hold is 7 lbs.

Hence, the statement is True.
