Ed is on a road trip. He has already traveled 208 miles and is driving at a rate of 70 miles per hour. Which equation could be u

sed to find how many hours, x, Ed has left in his road trip if he is traveling 695 total miles?
A.
70x + 208 = 695

B.
208x + 70 = 695

C.
208x + 695 = 70

Answer: If the total distance is 695 miles, and Ed already traveled 208 miles. We also know that Ed is traveling at 70 miles per hour, so in one hour, he travels 70 miles, in two hours he travels 2*70 = 140 miles.

then he need to travel 695 - 208 miles to reach his destination:

if his velocity is 70 mi/h, then you can find x (the number of hours Ed has left in his road trip) by:

70mi/h*x = 695 - 208 or

70x + 208 = 695

So the correct solution is A.

And solving it we get :

70*x = 487

x = 487/70 = 6.95 hours

so Ed has 6,95 hours left in his road trip.

A sweater was on sale for 40% off regular price LSA saved $20 by buying that sweater on sale what was the regular price of the s
Nikitich [7]

Answer:

The original price of the sweater was $28

Step-by-step explanation:

To find out the answer to this problem you need to first convert the percent into a decimal which would be 0.4 and then to solve the problem in one step you need it to be 140% which would be 1.4 as a decimal. Then you need to multiply 20 by 1.4 which gives you 28 and 28 would be the total cost of the shirt at it's regular price.

Can someone explain how to solve and graph this step-by-step?
Maslowich
(x,y)=(2,1) where the two lines intercept
so for the first equation you go on the y line and dot -4 then count up 5 times then right 2 times since it’s rise over run
for the second line start at positive 3 on the y line then it’s -1/1 which is up once and left once cause of the negative

Find the trigonometric ratio and write answer as simplified fraction
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer: 3/5

Explanation:

For angle A, the side furthest from here is BC = 15. This is the opposite side for this reference angle.

The hypotenuse is AC = 25, which is the longest side of any right triangle (always opposite the 90 degree angle).

The sine ratio involves dividing the opposite over hypotenuse.

So,

sin(angle) = opposite/hypotenuse

sin(A) = BC/AC

sin(A) = 15/25

sin(A) = (3*5)/(5*5)

sin(A) = 3/5

What is the axis of symmetry and vertex for the function f(x) = 3(x – 2)2 4?
Travka [436]

we know that

The equation of a vertical parabola in vertex form is equal to

y=a(x-h)^{2}+k

where

(h,k) is the vertex

if a > 0 -----> then the parabola open upward (the vertex is a minimum)

if a < 0 -----> then the parabola open downward (the vertex is a maximum)

The axis of symmetry is equal to

x=h

In this problem let's analyze two cases

First case

f(x)=3(x-2)^{2}+4

the vertex is the point (2,4)

a=3

so

3 > 0 -----> then the parabola open upward (the vertex is a minimum)

The axis of symmetry is equal to

x=2

Second case

f(x)=3(x-2)^{2}-4

the vertex is the point (2,-4)

a=3

so

3 > 0 -----> then the parabola open upward (the vertex is a minimum)

The axis of symmetry is equal to

x=2
