Acrylics dry faster so you can paint on top and finish a painting faster. Additionally, if you mess up, you can just cover the part with some white paint and start that part over. Meanwhile, with watercolor, if you mess up, you can't cover it up. Acrylics would be easier for a beginner since watercolors are easier to mess up.
