1) Filial piety, the respect that a child shows to his or her parents, was practiced under Confucianism.

2) It was built in the north to protect the empire from foreign invaders.

3) When he says he's "Letting go of things" its to prevent the negative outcome from all thinks he finds positive. His teaching seem pure and of good but because of the negative things that come from them, He's willing to disregard them. As he disregards boundaries people prosper from them, like the law thing, he lets go of it and from that, people become truth tellers and honest people.
