When a cellular telephone user places a call, the carrier transmits the caller’s voice as well as the voice of the person who is

called. The encoded voices are the data of the call. In addition to transmitting the data, the carrier also stores metadata. The metadata of the call include information such as the time the call is placed and the phone numbers of both participants. For which of the following goals would it be more useful to computationally analyze the metadata instead of the data? To determine if a caller frequently uses a specific word To estimate the number of phone calls that will be placed next Monday between 10:30 A.M. and noon. To generate a list of criminal suspects when given the telephone number of a known criminal.

Answer:

To estimate the number of phone calls that will be placed next Monday between 10:30 A.M. and noon.

Explanation:

Whenever someone makes a call from a cellular telephone, the carrier stores some data as well as some meta data.

The caller's voice and also the voice of the calling person are stored by the carrier as the data. The metadata are the information stored by the carrier are the phone numbers of both the participants and the time as well as the place of calling.

Thus for the following purpose, it is more useful to computationally analyze the metadata instead of the data since the metadata stores the time and phone numbers of the participants  ---

To estimate the number of phone calls that will be placed next Monday between 10:30 A.M. and noon.

Why do people all over the world vote on and debate which structures are the greatest?
Marat540 [252]
This is just my opinion, but I can give you some insights.

I think it was both a reason for competition and for unity.

On the one hand, the lands that are seen as having the greatest structures can feel more proud and more achieved- and this sensation is something that humans often seek.

On the other hand, the structures that "win" can be seen as a common, universal human achievement: a reminder of how much humans can achieve if they work together on one goal.

lana [24]

Answer:

Diminishing Return

Explanation:

In order for  a company to conquer a market, it need to spent a lot of investment in structuring the fixed assets for production along with marketing expense to make the consumers aware about the quality of their product,

Making a change to the existing product, no matter how little could potentially force the company to pay additional money to re-structure its current fixed assets or additional marketing expense to educate the customers about the change.

For companies at the tippy top, the sacrifice that they do to make the chance often significantly larger compared to the additional value that they get from the change. This situation does not apply for companies who still in early age and still haven't establish their operation in the market.

This is why the term is called diminishing return. The effect of investment for companies who just started tend to be larger compared to companies who are already established.
