Answer:

Resultant = 180.27 pounds

direction  is  63.69 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

We  have to resolve the x and y component of both forces with respect to given angles

Fx = 150cos30 +100cos120

    = 150(0.866)+100(-0.5) =129.9-50=79.9 pounds

and

Fy= 150sin30+100sin120

   = 150(0.5) +100(0.866)= 75+ 86.6 =161.6 pounds

Magnitude of the resultant is = \sqrt{Fx^2+Fy^2}

                                                 =\sqrt{(79.9)^2+(161.6)^2}

                                                  = 180. 27 pounds

Direction of the resultant is given by  arctan(\frac{Fy}{Fx}

                                                               arctan(\frac{161.6}{79.9}

                                                            =63.69 degrees

What is the slope of the point (10,5)
klasskru [66]

Slope of the point (10,5) and origin (0,0) is \frac{1}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we are given point (10,5) the other point will be origin i.e (0,0)

The formula used to find slope is:

Slope = \frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}

here x₁ = 0, y₁ = 0, x₂=10 and y₂=5

Putting values in formula:

Slope =\frac{5-0}{10-0}

Slope =\frac{5}{10}

Slope = \frac{1}{2}

So, Slope of the point (10,5) and origin (0,0) is \frac{1}{2}

zheka24 [161]

Answer:

$16288.95

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the compound interest formula of y= Initial(1+rate)^years

so y= 10000(1+0.05)^10= $16,288.95
