I wonder why my answer was deleted. it was correct.

so if we wanted to cancel the terms, we would try to get the smaller term to be a negative form of the bigger one
we have the terms
a and b and
4a and 2b
to cancel the b's we would have to multiply b by -2
to cancel the a's we would have to multiply the a's by -4
to keep the truth of the sentence, we have to do that to the whole equation

so we see that there is no multiplying by -2 but there is multiplying by -4 so that is the answer

the one that is : -4(a+b=6) is the answer

Earth's radius is approximately 6400 km. What is the surface area & volume of the earth?
Tamiku [17]

Answer:

SA=514,457,600\ km^{2}

V=1,097,509,546,667\ km^{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

step 1

Find the surface area

we know that

the surface area of a sphere is equal to

SA=4\pi r^{2}

substitute

SA=4 \pi (6,400)^{2}

SA=163,840,000 \pi\ km^{2}

substitute the approximate value of pi (3.14)

SA=(3.14) (163,840,000)

SA=514,457,600\ km^{2}

step 2

Find the volume

The volume is equal to

V=(4/3)\pi r^{3}

substitute

V=(4/3)(3.14) (6,400)^{3}

V=1,097,509,546,667\ km^{3}

Given:
I am Lyosha [343]

Answer:

m∠QPR = 20°

Step-by-step explanation:

If we make a sketch of the triangle, it will be observed, that line R bisects angle P.

Considering Triangle, ΔQPS;

∠QPS=107∘

Considering triangle, QPR;

∠QPR=9x-115∘

Considering triangle, RPS;

∠RPS=4x+27∘

Thus, ∠RPS + ∠QPR = ∠QPS

4x+27° + 9x-115° = 107°

13x - 88° = 107∘

13 x = 107∘ + 88∘

13x = 195°

x = 195°/13

x = 15°

m∠QPR = 9x - 115°

= (9 x 15) - 115°

= 135° - 115°

= 20°

Therefore, m∠QPR = 20°

Drake needs to drill holes in a wooden plank. The holes will have a diameter of 0.5 millimeters, with an error allowance of 0.05
Tanzania [10]

Answer:

 |x − 0.5| = 0.05

Step-by-step explanation:

Here x represents the diameter,

Since, an error of 0.05 millimeters is allowance in diameter,

Thus, the maximum acceptable diameter = x + 0.05,

And, the minimum acceptable diameter = x - 0.05

According to the question,

The holes will have a diameter of 0.5 millimeters,

Thus, x - 0.05 < 0.5  and 0.5 < x + 0.05

⇒ x - 0.5 < 0.05 and x - 0.5 > - 0.05

⇒ x - 0.5 < 0.05 and -(x -0.5) < 0.05

⇒ |x-0.5| < 0.05

⇒ Option D is correct.
